This paper reports the results of several measurements of DB2? for OS/390? performance on the IBM? Enterprise Storage Server (ESS) and other storage subsystems, including RAMAC-3 and the RAMAC? Virtual Array (RVA X82). ESS can provide significant performance improvements for a wide variety of DB2 for OS/390 workloads. (1999)
