    The latest information about supported hardware and software can be found in the
VERITAS document ?Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) for Storage Foundation and High Availability Products on AIX? which is located at http://support.veritas.com. Current requirements for filesets and APARs are located in the Storage Foundation Release Notes, also available at http://support.veritas.com. At the time of this document, the following are requirements for installation of Storage Foundation for Oracle RAC:
    64-bit pSeries or RS/6000 hardware
    Server systems with a minimum of 1 GB RAM. Two or more CPUs are recommended, plus 7 GB disk space for VERITAS and Oracle installation.
    2-4 cluster nodes
    A minimum of two Ethernet connections are required for the RAC/cluster interconnect; three are recommended.
    SAN-attached storage must support SCSI-3 Persistent Reservations. The following storage subsystems are currently supported:
         o ESS F20, firmware level 2.3.2.70 or above
         o ESS 800, firmware level 2.3.2.71 or above
         o EMC Symmetrix DMX Series
         o EMC Symmetrix 8000 Series
         o Hitachi 9900 series, firmware 21-06-22-00/00 or above. Additional setup steps are required for Hitachi, see Veritas Storage Foundation 4.0 for Oracle RAC Release Notes?for details
    No third-party multipathing drivers are currently supported; multipathing
functionality must be provided by VERITAS Dynamic Multipathing (DMP)
    Three separate coordinator LUNs are required to support I/O fencing operations. Each of these LUNs can be as small as 1 MB in size.
