科技博客网站Windows SuperSite援引消息人士的话报道称，代号为Threshold的Windows 9将于2015年4月份发布。
上述消息人士称，微软计划在今年4月份的Build会议上披露Threshold计划。Windows团队可能宣布Threshold开发工作从今年4月份开始，发布时间为2015年4月份。
Windows SuperSite称，除进一步整合Windows和Windows Phone外，Threshold还包含2.0版“Metro”用户界面/设计语言。
去年10月份有媒体报道称，“Threshold”是多个版本新版Windows发布计划的代号，就像“Blue”是Windows 8.1、Windows Server 2012 R2和Windows Phone 8.1发布计划的代号一样。Threshold可能包含三大Windows操作系统平台——Xbox One、Windows和Windows Phone的升级版本，它们可能共享更多的元素。
