Bill Zeitler
Bill Zeitler is senior vice president and group executive of IBM Systems and Technology Group. He is responsible for all IBM hardware offerings as well as the Microelectronics division, which translates IBM research and development into semiconductor solutions for IBM systems and OEM clients – including custom microprocessors, ASICs tools and methodology, intellectual property, manufacturing capacity, and process technology.
Mr. Zeitler was named senior vice president and group executive of IBM Server Group (which later became the consolidated Systems and Technology Group) in September 2000.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Zeitler was general manager of IBM Enterprise Servers. He previously held general manager roles for Worldwide Software Sales and Marketing, Server Brand Management and AS/400. He also held several executive positions in the marketing and services division. Mr. Zeitler joined IBM in 1969 as a programmer in White Plains, NY.
Mr. Zeitler received his BS in mathematics from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1969.
